Plural has been working with the City of East Palo Alto and the Ravenswood School District to bring more recreation opportunities to the community through the rehabilitation of sports fields, the creation of more playgrounds, and multigenerational exercise spaces. We have been focusing on two specific sites, Costano Elementary School and Brentwood Elementary School – both of these fields would be part of a long-standing public-private collaboration between the City and the School District.

At Costano, Plural helped develop a Vision Plan for a new sports park as part of the CA Prop 68 application for State funding. Our vision includes a new multi-sports field, playgrounds, basketball courts, track, adult fitness, stormwater gardens and vegetable garden. At Brentwood, we helped envision new fields for three adjacent schools and the YMCA, bringing together an existing academic community around recreation and a love for sports.
